like a kid on Christmas

I feel like a kid on Christmas! The excitement being too much to contain and keeping me awake through the night in anticipation of what today will hold, I am up at 7am. I was tired of laying in bed so now I sit at the computer writing a little Christmas blog. My 4 nieces and nephews are still snuggled in their beds just as their father instructed them. They were told to sleep late because we weren't opening presents until 9am. This was a prime opportunity to sleep late...yet here I am awake! My husband who usually is the early riser is even still asleep. This year I don't feel the anticipation for what lays under the tree. I feel it because today I get to celebrate the joy of Christmas with all my family and my first Christmas with my husband. Two Christmas days passed without spending them with my immediate family while I was away in Georgia so today seems extra special. I am enjoying reliving my memories of old as we have a "traditional" Christmas in the home I grew up in. It is so sweet to relive those memories and make new ones today!

Wade and I pray that all of you experience great joy this Christmas day! We are very thankful to be celebrating more than presents and memories today. Today we remember the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ who came to this earth to live and breathe like us in preparation for the day He would die for us that we could have eternal life. We hope and pray you will find this most precious gift and celebrate with us! A very Merry Christmas to all!
