Christmas is nearly here…just 2 more days! My how the year has flown by for us. We are home for Christmas this year and quite excited to share the holiday with family. I have missed a total of 3 Christmases because of my time spent in Georgia. I am truly grateful for the experiences I have had in Georgia and value those times, but there can never be a place quite like home…quite like being with family…quite like enjoying all the memories and traditions of past Christmases. It’s a special place to be.
We did not send a Christmas card this year, so a Christmas wish on the blog will have to suffice.
We are so grateful for the time we have spent in Georgia for all of 2011. It’s been a year of challenges, growth, and learning to trust God more fully. Looking back at life in January 2011 to now, we can definitely say that God has been with us every day and in every way. We are also thankful for all those who have given so generously to make it possible for us to be in Georgia. You are part of a work that we will see in all its fullness one day in heaven.
We are abundantly blessed to know our Savior and share in the Christmas joy He has given us. It is our prayer that you would know Him and His joy too. We pray also that each of you would know how much Jesus loves you. It’s because of His love for you that He came to earth as a baby and later died for your sins (and for us too).
May you be blessed this Christmas!
Merry Christmas to all from the Housh House!
